STEVENSTON was lit up at the weekend as the town enjoyed its annual switch on.
The towns lights were officially switched on Friday, December 30, with residents taking the chance to meet Santa in his grotto and enjoy the live entertainment on the stage.
The button was pressed by 90-year-old Stevenston veteran Edward Armstrong at 7pm.
Residents also got to meet Santa’s reindeer and there was fairground rides in the Champion Shell Car Park and the car park on New Street.
Revellers were well looked after with free tea, coffee and soup at the HOPE Project and plenty of crafts and activities in the library too. The Grinch was screened for free in Potters.
