LOCAL Rainbows worked with a mental health charity to create bags for homeless people in the Three Towns.
The staff of The Little Box of Distractions, Kerry and Shelley Elliott, are also leaders of the 3rd Ardrossan Rainbow unit.
The Rainbows helped to pack up 24 red drawstring bags with toiletries, including facecloths, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hair combs, and a puzzle book. Locals and relatives of the Rainbows donated £5 per bag.
The Rainbows also designed their own Christmas cards which were signed by those who donated and placed inside each drawstring bag.
A representative from North Ayrshire Women’s Aid collected the bags from Park Parish Church in Ardrossan to distribute.
Unit Leader and Project Manager of The Little Box of Distractions, Kerry Elliott, said: “I am so proud of my Rainbows. I would like to thank all the parents for their continued support.”
