A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after it is thought she fell down a flight of stairs in a Glasgow pub during one of the busiest nights of the year.

The female, thought to be in her 50s, was inside the Horse Shoe Bar on Drury Street when the incident unfolded.

Emergency services raced to the scene around 10.10pm on Saturday and it is understood paramedics spent over an hour treating her at the scene.

She was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Her condition is unknown and the Scottish Ambulance Service said they would not comment any further.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 10.10pm on Saturday, December 15, to attend an incident on Drury Street in Glasgow.

“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and transported one female to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said officers did not attend the incident.

The Horse Shoe Bar has been contacted for comment.
