Ardrossan Coastguard holding Christmas Open Day
ARDROSSAN’S Coastguard team are hosting a special festive day in aid of the local foodbank.
The Doors Open event will be held on December 23 between 2.30-5pm at the Coastguard Station in Montgomerie Street, Ardrossan.
The public will have the chance to go and meet the team, have a free mince pie and hot drink.
A Coastguard spokesman said: “The only thing we are asking in return is a small food donation for the team’s festive collection for the North Ayrshire Food Bank.
“All donations are welcome but we are specifically looking for non-perishable food items including tinned vegetables, baked beans, tinned meats, rice, dry pasta and cereals.
“There may even be some Coastguard related freebies available for the youngsters!”
