GARNOCK Valley Men’s Shed has received a £1,000 funding boost.
The funding is from the Sheds Grant, which was set by Royal Voluntary Service with support from the Asda Foundation.
As part of the Shed Grant, funds of up to £1,000 are awarded to help projects buy tools and equipment or for ongoing costs like rent or insurance.
Garnock Valley Men’s Shed started in February and sees members pop in through the week either to socialise or to work on hobbies and projects.
Jason Schroeder of the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association said: “We are delighted that Garnock Valley Men’s Shed has been awarded funding by Royal Voluntary Service and Asda Foundation Grant Fund.
“Shed projects like these make a huge impact on the lives and wellbeing of the individuals that use them, to their families and local communities.”
