Man appears in court charged with rape in Saltcoats
A MAN has appeared in court charged with rape following an incident in Canal Street, Saltcoats earlier this month.
James Black, 39, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this afternoon (Friday) charged with rape.
He made no plea and the case was continued for further examination and he was remanded in custody.
Black is expected to appear again within the next week.
