YOUNG musicians from across North Ayrshire are set to perform at the National Concert Band Festival this weekend.
The event is at Garnock Community Campus in Glengarnock on Sunday, January 20 and will include performances from North Ayrshire Schools’ Junior and Senior Concert Bands.
The festival celebrates and promotes the music and activities of wind and jazz bands by holding regional festivals across the UK with the aim of providing unique performing opportunities in a ‘friendly, welcoming and musically enriching environment’.
The Junior Concert Band are scheduled to play at 12pm, with the Senior Band taking to the stage at 1.45pm. The festival is open to the public, with tickets available on the door at £5.
The concert begins at 11am.
