THE FIRE service have confirmed they are not investigating a suspected fire from earlier.
At around 4.30pm, residents said they had witnessed a plume of smoke billowing into the air from the Albert Hill industrial estate in Darlington.
The County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue service have since confirmed they had been called out to the Cleveland Industrial Estate where a fire was quickly dealt with.
But they had not received any further reports in connection with the 'plume of smoke' and believed the area around the Albert Hill industrial estate was safe.
