A dad who had ‘pedo’ spray-painted on his home has spoken of his horror at being targeted in what he claims was a “revenge attack”.

The Herald reported last week that police were investigating after a house in Stevenston was vandalised on January 23.

The word ‘pedo’ was written in white paint on the property’s front door and side wall, and the windows were pelted with eggs

The dad, who did not want to be named for fear of getting targeted again, claimed that the vandalism was the work of a man who he has had an ongoing dispute with.

He told the Herald: “It’s a revenge attack. The stuff that he wrote is an utter fabrication. He spray-painted my property, wiped dog s***e all over my doors and threw eggs over my windows.

“I’ve got a son and daughter and they’re mortified. To be accused of something like that is terrible.

“In all the time I’ve been here I’ve never had any problems with anybody. I’m worried because when mud’s flung, it sometimes sticks. I would hate to get targeted.”
