Bag thief locked up for six months
A 51-year-old man who stole a handbag has been jailed.
Mark Gallagher stole the bag and its contents on January 28 at Manse Street in Saltcoats.
Gallagher, of Lawrence Place in Saltcoats, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff court last week and pled guilty to one charge of theft.
He was sentenced to six months imprisonment.
