A KILWINNING schoolgirl has donated her long locks to charity.
And 10-year-old Alice Poole has raised over £1,000 in the process.
The St Luke’s Primary School pupil heard about young cancer patients being given wigs by the charity and she decided to get her waist-long hair cut off and donate it for use.
Her family and friends, impressed by her decision, said they would sponsor her by pledging money for her cause and her dad, Alan, set up a JustGiving page.
Her target of £200 was surpassed and her mum Dionne, dad Alan, sister Ella and her grandad Jim Cochrane are all very proud of what she has managed to achieve for the worthwhile cause.
Well done Alice!
