P7 pupils at Dykesmains Primary School in Saltcoats washed down their haggis, neeps and tatties with Irn-Bru at their recent Burns Supper.
Pupils recited poetry, took part in Scottish dancing and wrote their own speeches in preparation for the event, which was organised entirely by the P7s.
Kim Renton, P7 teacher, said that the class had been “learning all about Burns and all about his life” in the lead up to the evening.
The event concluded in traditional Scottish style with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
Herald photographer Charlie Gilmour was there to capture the action.
