MSP Kenneth Gibson has welcomed new funding for North Ayrshire from the Scottish Government’s Town Centre Fund.
The fund was announced by SNP Finance Secretary Derek Mackay MSP during his budget statement.
After allocations were announced by the SNP Government, it has now been confirmed that North Ayrshire Council will receive £1,418,000 from the new ring-fenced fund.
Commenting, Mr Gibson said: “This funding announcement can help improve our town centres, the health of which is vital to the economic and cultural life of our communities.
“The SNP’s Town Centre Fund is part of a wider package of business support measures that will help drive economic activity in North Ayrshire and give our local high streets a welcome boost.”
