A NEW Food Festival will be coming to Saltcoats this summer - thanks to the Community Council.
Taking place on June 1 and 2, the festival will see a massive variety of vendors and grub on the go for locals and tourists to enjoy.
There will be local retailers attending over the weekend and there will be entertainment provided by Little and Large.
Kyle Haddow,. Chair of Saltcoats Community Council, told the Herald about the plans and how this will be a new and exciting event for the town.
Kyle said: “There are a few food fests around Ayrshire and it’s staggering how many people attend these events.
“Generally in the past Saltcoats has hosted the sea queen and Ardrossan has held the Highland games, but we wanted to add something fresh to the town.
“We have arranged to have a variety of food and drink traders to attend the two day event alongside free kids entertainment and live music.
“We hope that this event will benefit shop owners and possibly increase sales.”
