Capall Dorcha in partnership with mojo cams present ‘Nebular Tuesday’ a rehearsed reading, at the Harbour Arts Centre. Irvine

‘Nebular Tuesday’ is set in a remote Scottish island when the sudden arrival of a mysterious traveller brings new problems to its locals.

The play focuess of three characters; the traveller, the police sergeant and Catriona – a kind but frustrated wife, longing for change in her life.

The writing team behind the play, composer Stephen Bull and playwright Marie Dunlop both from the Three Towns created the work in partnership with Capall Dorcha Theatre Company to take the work forward into the next step of development with audience feedback and research.

Stephen Bull said: “I am excited to bring this work forward to showcase the new music of the Mojo Cams and also to allow audiences to experience the themes of Nebular Tuesday in these unprecedented times.”

Marie Dunlop said: “This work is exciting in its collaborative nature and also in the things the characters experience and divulge.

“The dialogue and plot reveal duplicity and deception in situations the test motivates and limits,

“It was engaging and rewarding to write for.”

Speaking of the work, Capall Dorcha Theatre Company’s CEO, Barry Robertson said: “Our organisation is thrilled to be working together with Stephen and Marie in developing their work and showcasing at this early stage to Ayrshire audiences.

“This play reading is a chance for local people to take part and give creative feedback to the work that Stephen and Marie have created and will support the development of the musical going forward.”

The reading takes place at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine on April 25 at 6.30pm.
