THE Garnock Valley Makerspaces are looking for volunteers interested in digital technology to help in the area’s libraries.
Makerspaces in libraries offer the chance to learn new skills, with free access to tuition and equipment and the opportunity for the local community to volunteer and share knowledge.
This particular opportunity ranges from using simple iPad apps to encourage creativity in younger library users, to working with 3D printers and Computer Aided Design technology.
Current projects include coding, interactive electronics, games design and robotics. The three Garnock Valley Makerspaces are in Beith, Dalry and Kilbirnie libraries.
