North Ayrshire Foodbank is in urgent need of donations after having to turn people away due to lack of stock.
The foodbank put out a desperate plea on Facebook for items today (Thursday, May 2), which said: “Donations urgently required.
“We are now unable to fulfil our orders for food parcels and we are turning people away.”
The following items are required by the foodbank: tinned meats, tinned potatoes, tinned vegetables, tinned soup, baked beans, tinned spaghetti, tinned fruit, tinned custard, tinned rice, pudding, biscuits, cereal, long life blue and green milk, pasta, pasta sauce and rice.
If you can donate anything, please drop it off at the Church of the Nazarene in Ardrossan between 10am-2pm on Monday to Friday, and between 6-8pm on Friday evening.
