THREE people were taken to hospital last night (Tuesday) following a two-car crash in Saltcoats.
Around 7.40pm, police discovered the collision whilst on patrol in Canal Street and the road was closed as emergency services closed the road whilst they dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "About 7.40pm on May 7, police on patrol discovered a two vehicle collision in Canal Street, Saltcoats. Assistance of the Fire and Ambulance services was requested and the road was closed to enable responders to deal with the collision.
"Three persons were taken to hospital by Ambulance, two as a precaution and one man with back injuries. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of this incident."
