ARDROSSAN Coastguard responded to reports of a person on a sinking boat in Irvine Harbour last week (Thursday, May 2).
The team responded immediately with the Troon all weather and inshore lifeboats also launching to assist.
As the team arrived on scene, the casualty was quickly located and found to be conducting works on the mooring chains.
They were found to be safe and not in need of any emergency assistance. The person was also suitably equipped with a lifejacket and the call was classed as a False Alarm with Good Intent.
All rescue resources were thereafter stood down before returning to station to complete the necessary paperwork before booking off duty.
