SOUND on the Sand will return to Ardrossan later in the summer with Hue and Cry headlining the popular music festival.

Organised by the Ardrossan Music Experience, the event will take place on Saturday, August 3 and promises to be a top day of music with bands showcasing their talents throughout the day and night.

The 80s duo Hue and Cry have been confirmed as headliners with other top acts performing at the event on Ardrossan’s South Beach.

They include Hipsway, the Dunwells and Chris Greig and the Merchants.

Peter McNamara from the AME said: “We are delighted to have secured such a great line up for Sound On The Sand we are determined to bring the very best to Ardrossan.

“August the 3rd will be a fantastic day of live music.

Tickets for the extravaganza are now on sale through the Ardrossan Music Experience’s website and are just £35 for the whole day.

Music will kick off at 1.30pm and run right through until 10.45pm with a licensed bar available for those attending.
