Two young sisters from Stevenston raised over £300 for a charity close to their hearts by doing the Kiltwalk.
Mirren and Annie Agnew, both pupils at Glencairn Primary School, took on the challenge in support of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
Mirren, 11, and Annie, eight, chose the charity because they have lost relatives to cancer in the past.
The pair managed to raise just over £220 with the Kiltwalk but the Hunter Foundation added 40 per cent to their final total, taking the amount to more than £300.
When asked if he was proud of his girls for taking on the charity walk, dad Davy said: “absolutely”.
He added: “They helped raise money for lung cancer as a few of their family have passed with cancer. All the family and their friends are really proud of them.”
