With Betty Valencia from Capall Dorcha Theatre Company

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Youth Theatre’s production of Aladdin Jr.

The show was a huge success – the cast did an amazing job of singing, acting and dancing throughout. Many thanks to all our volunteers and staff who helped so much to put everything together, your support means the world and all the hard work was worth it to see the smiles on all the children’s faces.

Now that Aladdin is finished, we are onto Brainstorm. A play all about the teenage brain and the lives of young people today, it is full of humour, honest performances and told by our brilliantly talented young cast. It features projection, audience participation, and music.

Youth Theatre Arts Scotland have chosen us to perform this very show at the National Festival of Youth Theatre in July, at the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr. Now the people of the Three Towns have the chance to see it first. Performances are on Saturday, June 22 at 4pm and 7pm in the Ardrossan Civic Centre. Tickets are £8 for adults and £5 concession. However, since this is a play about young people, if you are under 25 your ticket is only £3. No need to pre-book, simply pay at the door.

Our recent jumble sale made £222 and helped towards fundraising for our Youth Theatre. Many thanks to Judi and Emma for their hard work organising and running the stalls, and to everyone who donated items and helped to sell on the day. Our S+ Class took part in a bag pack in Asda, Ardrossan and managed to raise £488. As well as their sponsored walk which raised £275. Our volunteer and class members are working so hard to raise funds for our Youth Theatre and we are grateful to them and to the public for their support in our fundraising.

We will be announcing our Summer Workshops in the coming weeks, as well as our August-December classes. Watch this space.
