A MAN is set to appear in court following the death of a dog in Stevenston yesterday evening.
Police confirmed this afternoon that a 30-year-old had been arrested and charged following reports of a dog being injured in the town's New Street shortly before 7pm on Thursday, June 20.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the death of a dog in Stevenston.
"Around 6.40pm, on Thursday, June 20, police received reports in relation to an injured dog in New Street, Stevenston.
"The man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today."
