A BODY has been found in the search for a man reported missing from Dalry.
Formal identification is yet to take place however the family of George Winters, who was reported missing from the town on July 2, have been informed after the body was recovered from the shoreline near Helensburgh.
The body was recovered yesterday, Saturday July 8, shortly before 12pm - and that there are "no apparent suspicious circumstances".
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a man has been recovered from the shoreline near Helensburgh.
"He is still to be formally identified but the family of George Winters who was reported missing from the Dalry area in Ayrshire on Sunday, July 2, has been informed.
"The body was found shortly before 12pm on Saturday, July 8.
"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
