A former bank building in Saltcoats looks set to be transformed into a children's soft play.
The town's old Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) premises has been out of use since the closure of the branch in 2018.
Plans have been submitted to redevelop the building in the past, with proposals for a hot food takeaway for the vacant Chapelwell Street building approved in 2022.
However, these have never came to fruition. Now a new business appears to have stepped up to move into the former RBS building.
It comes after a business has launched a new social media page on Facebook after taking on the building.
The Kids Village Saltcoats has launched to advertise a soft play, which the site claims will be "coming soon" to the town.
The owners say that the building is to be transformed into an "imaginative kids play for children of all ages and abilities".
They added: "At The Kids Village, we strongly believe that fun has no age limit, and can assure you that no matter your age, you will enjoy yourself."
No formal date has been provided for opening of premises, however work is now underway in converting the former bank building.
Updates on social media have shown "play units" have already been put in place as work quickly progresses.
Some locals have already expressed their excitement at the plans on the business social media page.
One person said: "Amazing now we don't need to go all the way out to Ayr. We live in Saltcoats and can come here - cant wait."
