Hogmanay will mark the 50th anniversary of Ardrossan Castle being designated a Monument of National Importance.
And to celebrate, Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society are planning a year long celebration, with some amazing events planned to mark this historic occasion.
On December 31, 1973, the Castle was officially designated a Scheduled Monument under the Ancient Monuments Act of 1913 and 1931.
A 'scheduled monument' designation restricts any unauthorised changes to the historic building or site to preserve the monument for future generations.
Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society are hoping to collaborate with local community groups on some of their celebration events.
If any group or individual would like to know more, please get in touch via the society's Facebook page.
