Brodick's recycling centre has closed after ferry cancellations caused it to reach full capacity.
North Ayrshire Council said the Arran site was shut due to a backlog caused by disruptions to the Brodick to Ardrossan ferry service over the festive period.
The council are hoping to reopen the recycling centre later this week.
On X (formerly Twitter) today, a council spokesperson said: "Brodick Recycling Centre is currently closed, due to ferry cancellations over the festive period the site is full.
"Staff are working to clear the backlog and we aim to reopen this week. We will share further updates when available."
