KIND-HEARTED fundraisers at a Dalry gym have raised an outstanding sum for the Ayrshire Hospice.
The team from MRC Fitness Studio on James Street have been supporting the charity for a number of years.
Their latest effort saw a fantastic £3,400 donated to the hospice.
The gym have now raised a remarkable £12,600 for the charity over their years of support.
"We feel that everyone can benefit from the Hospice," gym owner Lorraine Wallace commented.
"They either know a family member or a friend who has needed their support.
"I think everyone can relate to that."
This year, funds were raised through a prize raffle run through the gym, which gathered in donations of £1,700.
The total was then given a fantastic boost when generous member Brian Stevenson, from Irvine-based company GTSMRO, matched the total to double the amount raised.
"For Brian to match it [the total raised] was great," Lorraine added.
"Every year we always think 'we will not get that amount next year', then we just seem to manage to top it!
"We can't do it without all our members and local businesses taking part and donating prizes, so a massive thank you goes to them."
The funds were officially handed over at the Dalry gym earlier this week, when Lorraine was joined by Brian, senior Ayrshire Hospice fundraiser Elaine Thomson and the gym's founder Malcolm Clark.
