A NEW business coming to Saltcoats has hinted at opening in the near future.
Work is well underway at 'The Kids Village' - a new "imaginative kids play" business coming to the town.
New signage has been place over the past few weeks at the former RBS building on Chapelwell Street where the soft play are to move in.
And the team behind the latest addition to Saltcoats town say that the flooring is now down inside and that despite not having an official opening date just yet they are "close to having a more accurate idea".
They have also have revealed further details on social media after the latest refurbishment work took place inside the premises.
Artwork inside has "brought their logo to life" and they say that the idea is that you feel like you’re walking into the painting as you enter the village.
The work - inspired by the chalk drawings in Mary Poppins - will also pay homage to Saltcoats with a number of seagulls painted in.
The team have also told of what families can expect from the soft play when it opens its doors for the first time.
A social media post explained: "After checking in at our reception, you and the wee ones will be buzzed in to the village.
"In the village, your little ones can choose to get into character from our costume wall then dive into some imaginative play.
"We have a hospital, a supermarket, a wee hoose, a jail, a car garage, a hairdressers/beauticians and a theatre.
"Furthermore, we will offer a cool wee Games room with a Nintendo switch."
While The Kids Village also say that the facility will be open for big groups, and is set to be inclusive for all.
They added: "You’ll be able to book functions with use of a private room and we’re in the process of coming up with some party packages.
"As we have the luxury of a function room, we’re also open to hiring this out to local clubs/groups. ASN sessions are on the agenda also.
"We have big plans for this place!"
