Primary Schools in the Three Towns and Largs are being invited to enter teams for the annual Hunterston Rotary Club School Quiz.
Topics will include art, the natural world, general science, spelling/grammar, sport and music - and school are being urged to sign up now for the event next month.
Hunterston Rotary Club president, Alex Blair commented: “We are delighted to invite local primary schools to participate in our increasingly popular quiz.
“The breadth of knowledge and understanding of our primary pupils never ceases to impress the adjudicators every year.
“Last year's winners, Winton Primary in Ardrossan, have kindly offered to host this year’s competition.”
Schools have until March 6 to register their teams of four pupils from P6/P7 for the 2024 event, which will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 12.
Mr Blair added: “As Rotary in the East and West of Scotland has now merged to form a Scotland South District there will be an additional stage in the competition this year, with an area final comprising primary schools in Ayrshire, at a date and venue to be advised.
“The top two teams from the area final will go forward to the district final.”
The district final will be held on Saturday, June 22 at a yet-to-be-confirmed location, starting at 2pm.
Rotary's local quiz coordinator will contact clubs taking part.
