Beith Theatre Group are set to bring the theatrical version of an acclaimed Hollywood film to the local stage.
The talented team are taking on the theatrical version of Robert Harling's 'Steel Magnolias' to the stage at Beith Parish Church Hall on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16.
The film adaptation of Harling's 1987 play was released in 1989, with an all-star cast including Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shirley MacLaine and Daryl Hannah.
Join the group as they travel to the American South and meet six women who come together in a neighbourhood salon and prove that friendship conquers all.
Faced with the highs and lows of love and life, amongst the chaos of work, marriage and children, they unite to gossip, unwind and set the world to rights.
This iconic comedy is the perfect ticket for every generation and proves that one hair appointment might just change your life.
The Beith production stars Janice Bates, Hazel Wylie, Suzanne Young, Jennifer Thomson, Lyndsay Muir and Darcie Neil, and is directed by Mark Thomson,.
