POLICE have revealed new information as they continue their probe into an incident in Beith where three cars were set on fire in the same street in one night.
Officers say their enquiries remain ongoing into the incident which took place on Acacia Drive on Wednesday, February 21.
Cops were initially called to the scene at around 6pm where three vehicles had been set alight. No injuries were reported from the incident.
During their earlier enquiries police were told a grey or silver car was seen in the street around this time.
However, officers have since established that the car was a five-door, white Vauxhall Corsa with a black roof and black mirror caps.
Detective Constable Craig Brougham said: “Now we have established a make of the car, I would ask anyone who was in the area around the time with dash cam equipment to get in touch with us.
"Images may have been captured which could provide us with more information about the vehicle and whoever the occupants were.
"Any small piece of information could be important, so please do contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2978 of Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
