A NEW business has set up stall at a former Ardrossan store.
JLO Snacks have began operating on the site of the old South Beach Stores in the town - headed up by local woman Sarah Toner.
The 33-year-old is currently selling a wide range of fast food items, hot drinks and kids' meals on the site.
The business also offers a special school lunch menu and the eatery is only a stone's throw from Ardrossan Academy.
The return of food offerings to the area has been very much welcome given the popularity of South Beach Stores before it closed in August 2022.

It also seems likely that the shop itself may re-open in the near future with Sarah confirming the building has been purchased with a plan to move in later this year.
She said: "I've always wanted to start up my own business and with experience working in cafes, chip shops at a young age, I have just took the plunge.
"The business name JLO Snacks which comes from my three kids initials - Jessica, Lewis and Olivia.
"We sell hot drinks, a wide range of fast food items including our best sellers burgers and salt and chilli wraps.
"We have the shop also but it needs renovated which will be taking place in the next couple of weeks and hopefully open for the summer or even earlier if things go to plan.
"For the moment we will trade from the van until shop is ready, then can offer the likes of newspapers, some essentials like coffee, milk, bread etc and also buckets and spades - but we are really focusing on it being a takeaway."
The South Beach Road business is currently operating from 9am-2pm at the handy location over the hill from the train station.
Orders can also be made online via North Ayrshire Eats and more information can be found on the JLO Snacks Facebook page.
