THE new owners of a much-loved Arran hotel have announced some staffing changes at the venue.
But it has not quite been a case of ringing the changes for the new operators of the Lamlash Bay Hotel.
Having taken over the scenic establishment in January the new owners have appointed a new general manager of the venue.
Filling that role will be a familiar face in the form of Steve Scott, who has been promoted into the position from his previous role as head chef.
Steve, a long standing figure in the hospitality industry with a decade-long tenure at the hotel, brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for excellence to his new role.
Having honed his skills in various renowned establishments across the UK, Steve's journey from a family immersed in hospitality to the helm of Lamlash Bay Hotel is a testament to his dedication and love for the industry.
His appointment marks a strategic move by the new ownership to harness the existing talent within the hotel and strengthen the management team.
With a vision focused on nurturing local talent, the management aims to create job opportunities and foster career progression for the entire team.
Steve shared his excitement about the switch-up after moving into the role this week.
He commented: "After a decade in the kitchen at the hotel, I am really excited to take on a new challenge.
"I am passionate about cooking and will continue to oversee the kitchen to ensure food quality is as high as it's ever been.
"We have a great team, and we are all looking forward to welcoming our guests old and new for another great summer season on Arran."
The owners said: "We are delighted to announce Steve Scott's promotion to General Manager. His experience, standards, and values embody true hospitality, and we are confident that under his leadership, Lamlash Bay Hotel will continue to thrive.
"We believe in training, supporting and empowering our team to ensure they always have varied responsibilities and career progression opportunities, whether that's here at the Lamlash Bay Hotel, or in the future wherever their career takes them.”
Steve's appointment has also created an opportunity for Wojciech Kozyra who will step up into the head chef role.
Having worked alongside Steve and The Bay team for many years he now becomes the new face of this passionate and dedicated brigade.
