Ferry services between Ardrossan and Arran have been cancelled this morning due to weather conditions.
And operators CalMac have warned that some weekend sailings could also be affected, with strong westerly winds expected to persist throughout Friday and to ease only slightly on Saturday.
CalMac said this morning: "Due to no improvement in the weather forecast, the following sailings have been cancelled: Departing Ardrossan: 7am, 9.45am, 12.30pm. Departing Brodick: 8.20am, 11.05am.
"There will be a review at approximately 1pm, however the forecast remains very poor. The service remains liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
"Due to an extremely poor forecast for Saturday, all sailings on this route are at a heightened risk of disruption or cancellation at short notice."
