Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society's annual Easter event was a smash hit on Sunday.
The society put on a whole range of activities for families to enjoy including arts and crafts and the chance to test their skills against their jousting knights.
They could take part in tours to learn all about the history of the castle.
And the kids had a great time rolling their painted eggs down the castle hill.
The eggs were a hit with the seagulls too, it seems.
The Heritage Society have been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the castle being declared a monument of national importance.
And last week, in a collaboration with North Ayrshire Council, brand new interpretation and information signs were installed at the historic site.
A Heritage Society spokesperson said they were "delighted" with the new signs and thanked North Ayrshire Heritage and Cultural Services and Bruce Macaulay for all their support and hard work.
