The Albion Bar in Saltcoats now has its own defibrillator after raising funds to purchase the potentially life-saving device.
And the Dockhead Street bar's staff, as well as a few customers, have all received training in using the defib, thanks to the St John's Ambulance Service.
Bar manager Angela said: "We thought a defibrillator would be essential for us to have, so we did a few fundraising events, including a race day, to allow us to purchase one.
"We have all had training from the St John's team who came down for the day - all the staff plus we invited any customers and locals who wanted to learn how to use a defibrillator to come along too.
"The St John's team were great. It's a really good cause and we got a really good turnout of people who are now able to use the device.
"We'd like to thank the St John's team for all their help."
