With Storm Kathleen on the way, ferry company CalMac have warned that the Ardrossan to Brodick service is facing a heightened risk of cancellation over the next few days.
With winds this morning higher than forecast, they revealed the MV Isle of Arran is already running around 45 minutes late.
And CalMac said services were at risk of cancellation from todfay (Friday) until Monday, April 8.
A company spokesperson said: "Due to stronger winds than forecast, the MV Isle of Arran is running approximately 45 minutes late. Normal check in times apply. The service is at a heightened risk of cancellation at short notice for the remainder of the day.
"From Friday, April 5 to Monday, April 8, due to a forecast of strong winds, this service is at a heightened risk to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
"We’ll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route.
