The full Arran ferry service will now be sailing from Troon instead of Ardrossan until Saturday morning, CalMac has confirmed.
A warning of easterly winds, combined with the poor condition of Ardrossan harbour, forced MV Isle of Arran to relocate to the South Ayrshire harbour from Monday morning.
It was initially hoped that the Troon diversion would end on Thursday, May 2, but ferry CalMac now say the Ardrossan service will not return until Saturday, May 4.
The final Troon sailing is currently scheduled to be the 7am departure from Troon on Saturday, with sailings to Ardrossan set to resume later in the morning.
The route's second vessel, MV Alfred has already been sailing from Troon due to the closure of Ardrossan's Irish Berth earlier this year.
The journeys to and from Troon mean longer crossing times for passengers.
CalMac warned earlier this week that they may have to switch services to Troon permanently due to the condition of Ardrossan harbour, accusing owners Peel Ports of lack of investment in the ailing facility.
CalMac's revised timetable is for the service is:
Depart Troon 7am, arrive Brodick 8.20am.
Depart Brodick 8.50am, arrive Troon 10.10am.
Depart Troon 11am, arrive Brodick 12.20pm.
Depart Brodick 12.50pm, arrive Troon 2.10pm.
Depart Troon 3pm, arrive Brodick 4.20pm.
Depart Brodick 4.50pm, arrive Troon 6.10pm.
The service to and from Ardrossan will resume with the slightly delayed 8.20am departure from Brodick on Saturday.
The ferry operator says MV Alfred will continue sailing between Troon and Brodick to its previously published timetable throughout the disruption, with departures from Troon at 8.30am and 1.30pm and from Brodick at 10.20am and 3.20pm.
