A SALTCOATS gym has unveiled a stunning new upgrade as they look to offer members the best possible facilities.
SW Fitness has been operating on Dalry Road, in the unit next to Halfords, since 2018 when it was established by Stephanie and Steven Walker.
When the shutters first came up it was a "skeleton gym" offering the bare minimum, but has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Their most recent project to improve the facilities was completed at the end of last month.
This has seen a second floor added to the gym which has allowed for additional equipment to be added as well as increased floor space.
SW was only closed for six days to allow the work to be carried out and Steven Walker shared his delight after its completion.
He commented: "With a strong focus on customer service, and helping and supporting the community, we have managed to grow the gym to what it is today.
"The inspiration and focus behind the gym upgrades has always been for our clients, gym users and community. We want to create an amazing atmosphere which includes all fitness types.
"Whether it be general fitness, running, bodybuilding, powerlifting, crossfit or the more recent hyrox style of training, there is something for everyone at SW Fitness and we have it all covered."
Steven also explained in a bit more detail what the addition facilities will offer members.
He continued: "Unfortunately we were starting to outgrow our space. The gym floor was maxed out with equipment to the point where we couldn’t fit anything else in.
"Fortunately we reside in a very tall warehouse which presented an opportunity to grow the gym upwards instead of relocate.
"With the extra floor space we can now continue to grow the gym and add more equipment.
"Upgrades include the second floor, all new rubber flooring, four new treadmills, rowing machine, sled track, additional strength equipment and other gym accessories which help enhance everyone’s workouts.
"Not to mention the sexy new lighting ‘perfect for Instagram selfies’ which everyone is loving."
Steven added: "We have a large functional area now for the use of battle ropes and we take classes in this area on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
"The gym also has a huge warehouse garage shutter which is open fully in summer. I can’t tell you how much people love it through the summer months! Sun gleaming through into the gym, It’s such a vibe!
"We have so many more options now to grow and add to the gym and we hope to attract more people and grow the community with the upgrades that have been made."
The upgrade has also coincided with SW offering members 24/7 access to their facilities as they look to ensure those looking to reach their goals can do so whenever works best for them.
It is this ability to offer those visiting the gym exactly what they are looking for that has inspired the constant drive for improvement.
Steven said: "The upgrades took only six days which is quite remarkable when you see what has been done.
"Knowing full well the benefits the gym has for everyone’s physical and mental health it was important that we got the gym open as soon as possible.
"We would like to also thank all our friends, family and clients who answered the call for help and who rallied behind the gym to lend a hand. We honestly couldn’t have done it without their help and support so thank you.
"SW Fitness gym is a gym for the community which has one goal - to help each individual reach their desired goals and encourage them to feel great about themselves.
"The gym vibe we have created is very much one that is friendly and welcoming and we encourage everyone to come and give us a try regardless of gym experience we will look after you."
