A MAN has been taken to hospital following an incident in Stevenston which prompted an emergency response.
Local reports on Friday, May 3, afternoon suggested that the town's Saltcoats Road - near Auchenharvie Academy - had been closed at around 5pm.
They added that both police and ambulance crews were around the scene at this time.
Police Scotland have since confirmed that they were called to an incident which related to "a man who had come off a bike".
"He was taken to hospital," a force spokesperson added.
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
