ABP, the company which plans to snatch the Brodick ferry service from Ardrossan, has created a forum for Arran residents to ask questions and feedback their views.

The forum will also offer islanders a chance to say how to spend the £50,000 which ABP promised to donate to island causes annually in the event of a relocation.

But, as the Herald reported recently, ABP’s £50,000 offer has been described by local elected members as a “pitiful bribe” and a “cheap seduction ploy”.

ABP Director Andrew Harston said: “We understand how for the people of Arran the ferry is a uniquely important service and so there are bound to be questions about what our proposal means. That’s why we are determined to make it as easy as possible to ask those questions and get a straight answer based on the facts. ”
