A POPULAR Ardrossan B&B is the latest business to back the Herald’s Save Our Ferry campaign.
Annfield Villas on North Crescent Road is popular with tourists and Arran residents, who often stay there before catching their ferry.
Alex Logan, who has run the B&B with his wife Isobel for nearly 20 years, says that his business relies on custom from ferry passengers.
Alex told the Herald: “The local businesses would suffer here and I would definitely lose business if the ferry was to move.
“I mainly deal with tourists and Arran people. There are people on Arran who come over for hospital appointments. If the weather’s bad on the way back and their ferry’s cancelled they’ll come over and book in with me.
“I’ve got a lot of regulars. I get a lot of Polish people who work in Arran Aromatics, as well as tourists. We would really suffer if it went to Troon.”
