BRODICK Castle’s garden and country park has won a prestigious TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2015 – thanks to feedback from delighted visitors.

It is one of 34 properties owned by the National Trust for Scotland to win the award this year.

The certificates are only given to attractions that receive consistently good reviews on the trip planning website for the quality of their service and visitor experience.

Visitor comments for the Arran castle included: “Brodick Castle is a jewel in the NTS crown.” Another recent review read: “Brodick castle is amazing for children on a themed day so they can learn about its history.

"I went on a Victorian day and it was so fun learning about its past in a fun way.

"I’m not a big fan of history.” And a third said: “Wonderful guides in every room and beautifully presented.

"The gardens are exotic and lovely Bus service to it is very good nice tea room.” National Trust for Scotland assistant director Keith Halstead said: “TripAdvisor is a fantastic tool for us as an organisation.

“While it is always satisfying to read good reviews, we also really value the constructive feedback that visitors tell us, as we can use it to keep the visitor experience constantly improving.”
