POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a number of bikes were stolen from a shop in the Garnock Valley.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a number of bikes were stolen from a shop in the Garnock Valley.

Officers are appealing for the assistance of the public to help find those responsible for the theft of pedal cycles and cycle clothing during the break-in at a shop in Glengarnock.

The ‘RT Cycles’ shop in Main Road was broken into on the night of Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1, Those involved made off with a number of mountain bikes, road bikes and popular cycle clothing.

A police spokesperson said: “This shop is on a particularly busy road and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the area to contact us.

“We would also encourage members of the local community who are aware of those involved in this incident, or who have been offered similar products for, to get in touch.” Information can be provided to the police by calling 101 or by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity is guaranteed.
