TEENAGE table tennis sensation Rebecca Plaistow from Kilbirnie has retained her junior girls title for another year and won her first ever ladies title after a successful run at the Scottish National Championships.
The St Matthew’s Academy student took home three national titles at the event in Perth on April 23.
The 16-year-old won the junior doubles with Alisa Khalid and reached the final of the Ladies Doubles with Lucy Elliott.
Rebecca said she was “really pleased”, adding: “Big thanks to Stephen Gertsen for his training over the last eight months, Chao Li and to Roy Claxton, Graeme Wilson and everyone at North Ayrshire Table Tennis Club.”
