A CASTING firm with an office in the Garnock Valley have been fined after a worker had his hand trapped in one of their machines.
Glen Foundry Ltd of Bristol, who trade as Anderson Stewart Castings, were at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday of last week where they admitted a breach of health and safety.
A member of staff severely injured his hand after it was trapped in a wax press without a guard being in place.
The company was fined £6,000 by the court for the offence.
