A BEITH woman and her dad scaled Scotland’s highest peak to raise money for charity.
And the climb was made extra special as they tackled Ben Nevis together on Father’s Day.
20-year-old Aimee Boyle and dad Graham took on the 4,409ft monster and reached the top after six hours and 50 minutes citing midges as the biggest challenge on the day.
The pair’s chosen charity, Alzheimer’s Scotland, received a boost to the tune of £1,500 and Aimee was proud of her achievement, saying: “So six months ago I had this idea that I would climb Ben Nevis for Alzheimer’s Scotland and I did it.
“36,000 steps, climbed 4409ft in six hours and 50 minutes and raised over £1,500 for this amazing charity.
“I couldn’t be happier as it was a tough day. I would like to thank Curves Beith, The Eglinton Inn, Lochwinnoch Golf Club and The Beith Christian Action Group for their support and of course family and friends who have supported and donated to this wonderful charity.”
