A 23-year-old man has died after his motorbike collided with two vehicles on the A737 at Beith on Wednesday, August 10.
The victim was riding his Aprilia motorcycle southbound on the A737 near its junction with the B777 at Gateside Road at around 6.35pm when it appears that the motorcycle lost control and collided with a northbound Mercedes sprinter van and a northbound BMW 3 series.
Emergency services attended, however the 23-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 47-year-old man who was driving the Mercedes van, and the 46-year-old man who was driving the BMW were uninjured.
Sergeant Iain Pittams from the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Irvine Police Office said: “Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the crash and I would ask any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact our office by phoning 101.”
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
