POLICE in North Ayrshire are on the hunt after a man was seriously assaulted in Kilbirnie at the weekend.
About 1.30am on Sunday, August 14, a disturbance took place in Holehouse Drive, Kilbirnie during which a 41-year-old man was assaulted.
Detective Constable Carruth of North Ayrshire CID said: “We are conducting extensive enquiries into this incident including house to house. The victim has sustained injuries to his face and leg. It is important we trace those responsible as soon as possible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at that time and saw anything suspicious or anyone who has information about this incident to contact police via the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111.”
